FREE Trip to Museum of Science and Industry

Is your family interested in science? Would your kids like to meet REAL SCIENTISTS and hear what they do for a living? Would you like to visit the Museum of Science and Industry for FREE? Then join us for the Museum's FALL FLING on Saturday, October 24. Click here to see the Museum's flyer for the event.

Transportation and admission is FREE for the whole family. The bus will arrive at Bartlett Elementary at 9:00 and leave the museum back to BES at 3:00. Spots on the bus are limited, so please respond quickly (first come, first serve). Your family may also choose to drive to the museum on your own. You still need to RSVP so that there are tickets waiting for you at the door.

Please RSVP or send any questions to Tammy Greco as soon as possible to save your spot. (Clicking her name will allow you to email her if you are logged in).

Walk-a-Thon Results

The 2009 PTB Walk-a-thon was a great success! The kids had a wonderful time, and we raised some much-needed money for programs around the school. The results are still being tallied, so please turn in your pledge envelopes if you have not already done so.

Our thanks go out to Cathy Grosam and her team, plus the local businesses that made generous donations (click here for more info).

Walk-a-Thon is Friday, Sept 25

It's almost time for the PTB's most important fundraiser. Please pledge and help your kids collect pledges, and then join us for the fun on Friday. You can come walk around the school with your student's class; just be sure to sign in at the office and get a visitor badge. Click here to see the schedule and for more information about the Walk-A-thon.

First PTB Meeting, Thursday, Sept 17

Please join us at 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 17 for the first PTB meeting of the 2009-2010 school year. The theme of this meeting will be Meet Your PTB. You will learn about what the PTB does for the school and how you can help. The meeting will be held in the multipurpose room.

Market Day Update

Thank you for your Market Day orders and your patience during our first pick-up date of the year. Your September food orders made $304.14, where 100% goes directly back into benefiting our kids at Bartlett Elementary School. Our October goal will be to have all orders ready for pickup promptly at 4:30. To meet this goal, two additional volunteers would be greatly appreciated. Volunteer time would be from 3:45-4:30. If interested in volunteering, please contact Amy Spencer (clicking the name will allow you to email her if you are logged in).

Volunteer to Be a Room Parent

The PTB is looking for parents who would be interested in helping with the holiday parties in the classrooms. Head room parents plan and attend all three parties, with help from assistant room parents. We also need volunteers to donate food and other items for the parties and volunteers to collect and trim the Box Tops and Campbell's labels. If you can help, please return this form to your child's teacher by September 9th.

Clip and Send in General Mills Box Tops and Campbell's Labels

Be sure to have your child turn them in to their teacher. Each month, the class in each grade that collects the most will get to display the Bulldog trophy in their room for that month. Also, the classroom that collects the most for the year will earn a pizza party! BES redeems the box tops for cash and labels for merchandise for the school. Last year we redeemed over $1200 worth of box tops alone! Click here for more information.
